A friend of mine has had four sets of injectors put in his 2003 durmax.He had to pay for the last set $4000.00 + got 15000 mile and #8 injector went bad and they want to charge him for that too.I was under the impresion that the warranty went to 200,000 miles now the truck has 197,000 miles should'nt my friend be able to get his truck fixed and reinbursed for the set that he payed for?

I think the warranty is only for 100,000 miles thats all that GM is giving me on my 03'

they say that gm will be sending letters to '03 owners extending injector warranty to 200,000 miles, so tell your friend to save all his reciepts, and document everything well in case this is true, so he can be re-imbursed, and do a search on it, also look in gm-diesel.com forum, both have this topic(seemingly common problem) l.o.l.

I thought the injectors were about $20 each (don't know why I thought this). How do you get to $4000?

Cheapest injectors I have been able to find are $350 each and the rest is labor.

I just had my 03 done at 97,000 miles and they told me that the injectors only were covered to 200,000.

I think I was remembering the price of a glow plug????

epic, i know this place is the bomb and all, but check some other sites for your friend, or tell him too if you don't want to two-time this place, i remember seeing other info on this subject on other sites that should help, i recall the "gm-diesel.com" site in particular. i know i'm a slut, but i can't resist the other sites as well
