: Upgrade - Now or later???

Quick question - maybe....

My truck has about 100,000 miles, stock tranny - just added Juice w/ Attitude. I've been running the Juice at level 3 and really like it (of course more is always better...) No problems at all - yet.

Is it less expensive (or wiser for some other reason) to upgrade the tranny now? Is there any reason to not "run it into the ground" and then get the work done? I've been reading about the SCIII or SCIV -- now or later???

Recently I've been reading about this tranny stuff (I don't really understand it) and am afraid I'll be on my way to Mike L.'s place sooner rather than later. No offense Mike! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gif

Any help will be appriciated --

Thanks --

If you run it into the ground it no longer becomes a trans mod; it becomes an overhaul. More parts will be required.

Mike -

So the $3500 is for a SCIII mod?

From what everybody says around here Mike L. is definately the guy to see when it's time.

I just didn't know when that time should be - looks like sooner....

WanaDmxsub: You limped yours twice? What are you putting in it? How much $$ are you expecting.

Thanks to all!

Mike has done three tranny's for me, wouldn't go anywhere else. Sooner is better, you won't believe the difference.

Predator 120-limped (no surprise)
Predator 85-limped (Hmmm...didn't think that would happen)
Predator 65- Feel like a dog with his tail between his legs.
SCIII/TTS triple, let the tail wagin' begin...
