Anyone know where I can pick up some Delvac 1 in the Daytona Beach area. Here for a week then headed home. Would like to change my oil before leaving.

Pretty much any auto parts store.....Just drive down Speedway Blvd. (aka 92)...theres a nice Napa on your way to the beach on speedway....Its about 3 or 4 blocks east od Nova road......you there for spring break?

If you can't find the Delvac 1, then use the Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5W-40. It is the same as Delvac 1, just repackaged in a different container.

I bought M1 T&SUV at WalMart last week in the new 5 quart containers, priced at a bit under $20 per 5 quart container.

That price is getting down into Shell Rotella Syn 5w-40 country.

Not here for spring break. Last week of 5 touring the state & staying warm. How do you guys know the M1 T&SUV is the same as Delvac? Just curious & a little nervous.

Over at the www.bobistheoilguy.com site, populated by over 6000 nuts (including me) with a fetish for automotive lubricants, somebody submitted samples of unused Delvac 1 and Truck and SUV and the analysis of additives came back very close....within the batch to batch tolerances of motor oil blending.

Mobil is trying hard to put its products in many different packages to meet a lot of marketing niches. Once in a while, the consumer comes out as a winner.

Just picked up a bunch of those 5 qt containers a wally world last night--first I've seen it there. 19.95 I believe. Also, Mobil1 is changing there packaging and raising the price! 10-30 and 15-50 mobil1 (which I also use in other machines) is $19.95 in the old container, and $23.95 in the new! So I bought a bunch of the old!

Just grabbed 5 of the 5W-40 T&S jugs myself. $20 is a very good price for 5 quarts. Two changes in the truck and one for the PWC.
