do the marine injectors stand up to the claims? 40HP? is that 40 horses by themselves? or is it one of those catch 22 scenarios??

adding numbers like that is called ricer math. it doesn't work out htat way. marine injectors on a stock truck you won't notice a difference. marine injectors on a reflashed truck you'll notice a difference. so i've been told. i've got a reflash and stock spec injectors and its got plenty of kick.

Maybe 40 over worn out stock injectors.

i have heaths HO injectors and a reflash however both were installed the same day so ya got me on whether they are worth it. look at it this way if you plan on keeping a stock ecm forever go stock injectors. if you plan a reflash in the future go marine. Ed

ITA with Ed...
Friend of mine had a reflashed PCM, then added marine injectors; claimed to see a large difference.
I talked to Bill Heath about it for mine (I have a Heath Max-e-tork 2.0), and he advised not, as I pull heavy with mine and he worried about overheating. He did say that he really likes 'em in a truck that either runs empty of doesn't pull so large. His mechanic, Todd, has 'em in his truck and told me the HP gain was quite noticeable, but also told me that without a reflash, you're looking at 5-10 hp.
Read up on here, and you can hear every opinion in the book... from my perspective, the guys who have 'em (in combination with a hot PCM), like 'em.
