Well first off, welcome to the site!

I'm going to go ahead and move this to a place where it will get more views and opinions on your question! Forum operations is for problems, issues, or concerns with the forum itself (software, question on the software etc...)

Wheels and Tires is where I'll move this to!

I had the Toyo A/ts and I liked them quite a bit, drove great, seemed to wear a little fast. I just replaced them with the Toyo M/Ts.

Curiosity always get the better of me. WHY Bfg's? My experience has been so-so as a fleet operator.
BfG A/T TA KO tires do not self clean well in pennsylvania clay, they seem to not self clean well in packed snow, and, worst of all, they are very prone to cupping. The cupping of the tread results in an even noiser tire, on top of the noise they produced when new.
Now, on the other hand, the BfG Long-trail T/A has been a very admirable three and a half season performer. They are long lasting for our applications, run rather quiet, and exceed all of my expectations until they are half worn. Once that occurs, many of the tread blocks become siamesed, giving poor performance in the snow, and also in the rain at highway speeds. Hence, my 3 and half season labelling.
The BfG Rugged Trail TA's had to the greasiest feeling tire in the rain and the snow, and never even came close to my treadlife expectations, although since they were OEM fitments on two Toyotas here, perhaps they were spec'd with a softer compound.

BFG All- Terrains have a soft rubber wear kinda fast not a bad tire at all but spendy around 225 a tire.. cooper not bad either... like i said before Nitto is my FAV so far seen alot of Terra Grapplers the clean out on them is great and really hold the road cheap for a truck tire

I have just put on Yokohama Geo-lander AT/S and all I can say is WOW !!!

I have driven 1000 miles since last week when I put them on 300 miles of which was freezing rain and snow and they worked awesome.
I can't speak for how long they will wear, but my fist impressions are that they ride well, smooth out the bumps, have no sidewall roll or road noise and grip like crazy in snow and ice.

I know everyone recommends what they buy but after purchasing a lot of tires over the years I have never had a first impression as good as these tires.

FWIW if you drive in poor road conditions I would buy a set.

I think overall, load rating and driving habits have as much to do with our experiences with tires lifespan as does PSI and rotations.
I have and need E load. I have 43k on the OEM Bridgestone Duravis 265. They are just about done. Life for these tires has been rough. My '05 3500 crew w/single w/ utility bed and tooled up weighs in at 9000# and has since delivery Oct or Nov 04. I have been surprised with these tires. I do Communications work. They pulled me through bogs where I thought I was gonna just sink. Then had to go back through to get home. Been on mountain top tower sites with rocks rolling under the difs and frame while slicing the treads and sidewalls. Back in '04-'05 in New England they did great in the snow. Again, I have been surprized. The scorching asphault here in Tucson plays havoc on tires. 43k+ miles with a couple patchs? You bet.

So, whats my next tire? I was heading for the Bridgestone Dueler Revo's (E). I'm still on the fence about going to a 285 if I can get em on w/out rubbing. (?) The rig needs a little more clearence but I'm not ready to lift...maybe level... but still studying.
Any opinions on the Revo's?? or Brigestone for that matter?

The dry, rain, mud, and snow traction of the Duravis were absolutely unacceptable on my trucks. I ran Jetzon Revenger A/T and Cooper Discoverer ATR exclusively, until I just put on two sets of Hankook RF10 tires.
As for size, the Discoverer ATR will rub the front bumper valence 'til half worn in the stock LT265 size.
And both the Jetzon and the Cooper can give me up to 37k miles a set with my "could care less" drivers.
The Cooper was my 2nd choice as I have seen "chunks" of tread lost and they always need rebalanced before half worn.
Both have otherwise held up well for puncture and cut resistance. My previous experience with Hankook tires leads me to believe they will be better than the Jetzon, all the way around.
I stopped running Hankooks previously, because the only tires they offered would turn to solid on the outer tread at half worn, making them as useless as the OEM Bridgestone.
I won't run any tire that has a "solid" tread pattern at the outer edges, from little trucks to big rigs, as they offer the mud, water, and snow no place to "escape" at highway speeds or in wet off road conditions.

Does anybody have a good picture(s) of an '05(+/-) with aftermarket wheels sized 8x16 w/4.5" backspacing and mounted 265/75 tires? I am trying to see how much this offset will stick out compared to the stock.

I put 30,000 miles on a set of Michelin LTX-MS on my 02 and they worked great for me.No cupping on the fronts even at 9,000 mile rotations.Snow and ice traction was very good as well as dry, very little wear at all.Had only a noticeable roll on the rear pulling the 12,000 lb.fiver with 2,200 lb. pin wt.My 07 has the Bridgestone OEM Duravis M773 and they are not nearly as good for traction or pulling the fiver, they are wearing good at 22,000 miles but I swear they give a little bit of bucking to the ride even after putting new Bilsteins shocks on.The best tire I have had for pulling the fiver, ride quality and mpg were the stock tires that came on my 02,Bridgestone OEM R265 5-rib highway.Hate buying tires as what works good for one doesnt always work for another!
