got an 05 kodiak 4x4 6.6L duramax...wanna get a programmer for it....motor is stock..just added 22.5 wheels...dont wanna upgrade trans. at all on it...what programmer shud i look at gettn...the PPE is good for 225HP, but bin told that the trans will slip in this mode if no upgrades dun to it...then theres the diablo that ppl keep referrin me to...supposed to be good on fuel mileage..which i would love to get a couple more mpg of..but then its only good for 90HP..but maybe thats all i need to throw at the stock trans without gettn in truble...
im gettn bout 11.5mpg now doin 110km/hr..what would i gain in real world terms with a programmer??
and i dont really do any towing at all...just daily driving..just want it for the fun aspect and fuel mileage
please help me

Well all tuners will give you better mpg, now its the level you choose and your right foot that will determine how long our tranny lives.
As for tuners...EFI Live and PPE are great tuners with great support. If you have a buddy that has one now and is willing to let you borrow it, that can be best way to learn about it and play with it at the same time with no $$$ invested.
Just my 2 cents

If its a 4500
Kodiak C4500
Medium duty power, durability, and components in a smart, efficient size. That's the Chevy Kodiak C4500.

Which option do you have?

I think you rbest option is the Diablosport Predator. It is going to be the best bang for the buck by far. Put it on the 65 HP setting and leave it alone, you will not have any issues this way. Let me know if I can help.

the reason i was lookn at the diablo,.was it only went to 90hp..and thot i wouldnt get myselft into truble experimenting with the higher HP settings..you know how thatd be tempting...
with it set at the 65HP rate...what do you think id get for fuel milage extra when not towing?
is there a certain diablo that i should be getting or is there only one??

You will want the Predator. Fuel mileage could be anywhere from zero gain up to 2mpg. Every truck is different.
