This truck is p*ssing me off something fierce. Its niggly this and niggly that failures are just plain nuts.

Ive had 24 things fixed and about 7 of them have re-appeared. I got better things to do then keep the mechanic company.

Now the lopey idle has been hanging around off and on for 6 months. Can I dump somthing in the tank to make it lope worse or drive it into a lake or what?

The dealer says its "normal"

Yeah? If its "NORMAL" then how come the NEW trucks dont do it???

Stop using an additive (if you currently use it).

I have noticed that an additive lessens the amount of lope on my 2002 truck.

I stopped using addative to try and make it worse and finally gave up for now.

PC, I'm not sure I follow you, but are you saying you want to make the lopey idle worse? and if so, why would you want to do that? My only guess is that if it is worse then the dealership will look at it:confused:

My buddy's 01 LB7 had the loping idle at 70k. It was the fuel pressure regualtor, repaired under warranty.

He never uses any fuel additives.

What are you calling loping idle? Mine seems to surge when I have it in gear and my foot on the brake. Is this the same maybe? thanks

The idle jumps up and down when warm (not hot not cold). If I drive it and get her hot and park, then later fire her up it does it bad.

Just never when I bring it to the dealer.
