What options are there for a simple lift pump setup that would be used only as needed (high HP levels) controlled via switch, would flow freely if pump failed and has a decent pump life? (I'm not sure what I'm calling decent but don't want to be replacing pumps every 2 months).
Now that I have more power I know I need a lift pump but not sure if I need or want the full-meal deal (full-time setup). I have a pre-Racor filter that I want to keep. I don't hot rod much but when I do I want to be able to give the motor all the fuel it needs without inducing stress on the fuel system or robbing me of power.
What options are there? Super Diesels setup looks nice ...just not sure if I need or want the full-time setup. Is everyone waiting for more options to become available? What PSI is considered "enough" for high HP situations (150+)? 6 psi?
