I have a Sierra 2500HD Duramax, '03, with two batteries. I accidentally left it hooked up to my RV and trickle charged the batteries away.

Now i'm trying to jump it but it doesnt' seem like my wife's minivan has enough juice or crank or whatever to turn it over. I tried jumping both batteries, tried charging both for about 10 minutes each with her car then jumping. I can't get it to crank.

Would it hurt anything (or would it possibly work) if I hooked my wife's car up to one battery and my dad's to the other with a seperate set of cables, had them both running, and tried that?

Any other advice on getting this thing to turn over? Thanks.

Another interesting discovery is that you can't hook jumper cables directly to the battery. Duh, read the instructions. My cousin, with his FORD, was jump starting the truck but we couldn't get anything. I read the instructions then poped the red cover off that said battery + and walla, power.

Got this from a search on here..think hes talking about the post where the positive comes from the circuit board on the inside fender. Make sure you got some huge cables too.

I've done this and also put an industrial charger on for a while first. My wife left my sat radio on for two weeks while I was in camp and killed the batteries. They were never the same (less than 2 years old) and I had to replace them anyway.

i have had that happen to me a couple times if you hook it to the battery and it doesn't turn over or just barely then use the red distribution block once you get it started i would take the batteries to a place that will test them and have them tested i would bet the one if not both have a dead cell in them now
