So I've been topping up the coolant for almost 4 months now and getting worse. I took a closer look today (nothing removed...yet) from underneath and it was dripping down the side of the block very close to the front on the drivers side and spilling off the oil pan. I'm guessing water pump but couldn't find the water pump hole. Can I see this without removing anything or do I need to take the top shrouding off of the rad and other things to see it with a mirror? It is so hard to see anything from underneath. I parked it 3 hours ago and it is STILL leaking a drop every 8 seconds or so. Is this possible from a water pump?

most waterpumps have a hole in the housing towards the bottom of the pump. When the seals go bad it will leak through the hole.

Understood. I've done a number of pumps in my day but not on a truck. Perhaps to be clearer, can I see the hole from underneith the vehicle? Is there a certain vantage point to see it from? Do I have to remove anything to see it?
