Real quick one guys. I've had the truck in the garage for a few days doing some work. Currently I have no stereo in my garage and I hate working in silence so I've been using the truck's. To prevent the draining of the batteries (which I did last night :o:), I've got my battery charger hooked up. It's got an automatic trickle charge setting and the option of 10amp or 2amp. It's set at 2amp currently w/ trickle charge. The meter on the charger shows the batteries at/near 100% charge but I know that can't be right. I started the truck this morning and let her run for a little bit to charge the batteries that way - she did start but you could definitely tell the batteries were low. So would I be alright leaving the charger on with the current settings while I'm in the garage, listening to some tuneage, wrenchin' away?

Ok, so maybe that wasn't as quick as I thought - False Advertisement :p:

Should be no problem using the radio. It will draw more than 2 but less than 10 so use for a while then charge or trickle and top off. You might want to put the charger on both batteries when finished to make sure they are both 100%.

Letting a battery become discharged is the fastest way to shorten the life or ruin it.

Not terribly worried about the life-span of these batteries. Still the stockers, just waiting for them to crap out and get some yellowtops
