I saw a 05 2500HD D/A LT Crew, 4x4 sittin on the dealers lot today it had been lifted and customized by a dealer approved shop here's what it had done,
6 inch Fab Tech Lift
315 Nittos
17 inch rims-dont remember the brand
Hypertech programmer
tinted windows
ugly black nerf bars- weird looking ones
$8,500 for the added on options
Now get this $56000 selling price
Who would pay that much? I know what I have in my truck, and yeah I would sell mine for a cool 50 ):h Good Greif Man!!

Ever look at the classifieds here? A while back a guy listed an 02 with really not much done to it for $40K The sad thing is that some fool bought it and may have paid that for it....

I would hope that is the listing price. They post that price expecting to have people come on and bargin them down so that it makes the customer feel good knowing that they got the truck less then what they were asking for it.

When that POS SSR thing came out the dealers were putting a "competitive differential" price sticker on increasing the MSRP by $10,000 dollars. Maybe some goofy Californians bought at that price. Now they are discounting the stupid looking things and see some as low as $31,000. (which is still more than they are worth). Anyhow, anyone paying $56,000 for the subject truck above has more dollars than sense.

I have seen new at the dealer lifted D/A's in the $60K range. Must been one of those D/A trucks, Escalade interior, and H3 suspension hybrids.:muahaha:

Our shop has quoted local dealer about $4500 for rancho 4" kit, 35" bfg or pro comp a/t tires, 8" eagle wheels, and nerf bars, all installed. Now what dealer charges above sticker I have no clue, I'm sure it'll be about 7-8k above sticker. People will pay this because then they'll have lifted truck, with warranty(whether other dealers honor it or not), 0% financing, and no tying up truck later for lift install.

Besides that, a man can bring it home and mama can't b**** about him spending more on it later . AND it looks D*** good too.

i agree, people will pay that price in a heart beat. they wont have to do too much to it, cause it will already be done. only thing you would have to do is add a Edge or Banks system to it.. maybe a winch....

I have to disagree with you two. Yeah they look good but I would not buy one.
It is part of the fun of getting a truck that has not had anything done to it so that you your self can modify it and tinker with it.
It is kind of like being rich and having everything you want. Then what? You will get board with it.
There is also something about doing work yourself. It is a good fealing knowing that you did the work your self, knowing that it is done to your standards, researching products that fit your personal needs, and saving money at the same time.
