: What to start with?

So what should I start with going from a stock 2005 LLY? Money is not an issue, so if I buy a component, I'd like to buy the best one possible.

Also, anyone know if exhaust stacks do anything from a performance standpoint? Or a Tonneau cover?

I would beef up the tranny first before you start making a whole lot of power. Suncoast makes a good built tranny. Most of the guys on here are running one of their kits.

What do you mean? Like I saw something along the lines of 3k for a performance tranny kit from somewhere here.

If money isn't a problem, you could buy a complete built tranny from suncoast or ATS etc and just swap out yours. There are also kits you can buy that would have to be installed in your tranny, but it will have to be pulled from your truck and disassembled to have the components installed. The prices vary according to how much power you want it to hold. Some of the vendors on here sell what you'll need. How much power you looking to make?

If you want to make that kind of power, along with getting a good tranny, I'd look at building your bottom end of your motor. Look up Trippin on this site and he'll line you up with the parts you're going to need, he also carries EFI live and that'll be your best bet for tuning.

You just said money wasn't an issue. If you're wanting to end up with 7 or 800 hp, do the transmission right.

Just build the motor first if money is no issue then run it on the stock tune until you save up money for the tranny :).

Tranny first, that way you can play while you are saving for the motor

7.1 Liter Stroker and a Suncoast V, for starters........only since money isn't an issue, should kit the crap out of 35K unless you can build and install yourself.
