I found this on another thread and was going to post up but didnt want to hijack his thread.

I have the Hypertech also, level 1, don't waste your time. I leave mine on level 2. On #2, no smoke, unless I stand on it, shifts great, fuel mi. up about 1 or 2mpg. DIC fuel mileage is unchanged. Hand calc. 17-18. The best part was yesterday when that shiny black mustang had to suck diesel exhaust from 0 to 65mph. :) Make sure you look both ways before you launch, there might be a cop around. 04.5 D/A cc sb.What I get out of this is that the Hypertech is a great unit for the $ as long as you dont care about the speed limiter. Sorry I am new to the diesel game and just purchased an 02 to tow the toy hauler. I am looking for a unit that will adjust for tire size and not too much hp for towing, the 1-2 mpg increase is welcome as well. My rig has a K&N filter/intake, Poweraid throttle body spacer and tubing (newbee dont have a clue what the tubing is for, turbo? intercooler?), Banks Big Head (wastegate?), and exhaust that shows no sign of cat or muffler. It seems to run great, shifts great, how can I tell if there was/ is program or been tuned? My first tank I got 13.5mpg (yea I was playing a little bit, what self respctable 35year old with a new toy wouldnt:D ) . I have a 4" lift and need new tires so I was going to go with some 295X75X16 Nitto Grapplers and need to adjust the tire size, it has 285's now and speedo is about 8-10% off. I had a vin check for the truck done and it has never had the injectors replaced, besides smoking at idle how do I know if it needs it? Well sorry about the newbee status report but any info you guys can give up is appreciated.

Mods.......... I realize this is the wrong place to post can you move it?
