Well glad to be in a whole new world... This past Saturday I bought a 2004.5 Duramax 4 door to replace my old 1999 Sliverado sportside ext cab. My daughter is getting taller and I needed the room for her and to pull our new 33' Keystone springdale 307FKGL travel trailer (7200 lbs dry)
I`ve been a mechanic for 30+ years and have always owned GM aside from a few odds or ends that I of course sold to pay for other GM products... :D
I hope to learn and contribute to this forum and make my truck a little faster and get great fuel mileage so any help would be well taken... Thanks... Also I reside in Southeast TX where hurricane IKE basicly kicked our @zz...

Welcome, nice truck. Die hard GM guy here as well. (and Jeep). Owned at least one GM, up to four at a time for 20 years consistantly. You'll like it here for sure.

Welcome to the forum. I am a GM fan too. I have owned all brands of diesel trucks in the past and I will stick with my Duramax. Lately I have been buying fox body mustangs fixing and selling them to pay for my mods. Do a search and you will find tons of ways to upgrade your LLY. Glad to have you and once again welcome.

First off, Welcome to the Forum! :
Take a few minutes and read through the entire forum. There are different sections of the forum for different issues that arise. There are engine specific sections, maintenance sections, transmissions sections, air/fuel/exhaust/emission upgrade sections, etc. There is a lot of info to read up on that has already been discussed by our fellow members. Chances are that if can think it, it has been asked and answered many times before. Also use the search feature. This forum contains a lot of good info already! Thanks and welcome! :Handshake

:welcome2:I didnt know they made anything but GM products and offbrands. I sometimes wonder what that other stuff on the road is. Look in my garage and you will see I am a GM man.
