: What's the best Aftermarket Exhaust system?

Hello All,
I'm new to this Forum and have been surfin' this site for about a month now. After a year and a half looking at various diesels, I settled on buying a GMC 2500HD 4x4 CC Duramax with Allison tranny. I finally got my "approximate" build date of April 11th with a delivery date of the first week in May!
Although the wife is against it, I am already amassing quite a collection of aftermarket goodies to install on the truck when it arrives.
My current focus is on an aftermarket exhaust system. I want a stainless system. I've had my share of grief with the "aluminized" systems with my gassers. I just wanted to poll everyone on systems they have bought or had. I seem to be leaning towards the MBRP T-304 system, but still remain opened minded on other systems out there. I want "some" noise, but prefer to keep it outside (not loud in the cab).
I also would like to remove the cat. What do I ask for when ordering a system that does not include the cat?
I will keep the stock system in case any issues arrive at a later date, but from what I've read at this forum, it's nothing but a win win situation when various mods are done. Thanks in advance for any replies!

I went with the mbrp, i also opted for the catless front pipe. Since most of the exhaust systems are pretty much equal in material, I chose to not pay extra for the brand name. ie banks name alone is 200 to 400 more than comparable systems. The stick and egr plate have done their job, no codes and no soot in my intake. I also have the edge/attitude and the whole combination is pretty awesome.
Spend some hours on this forum and you will not regret one minute of it. The tech guys are super and the vendors are really out to help get the upgrades you want and need at a decent price. Be sure and run a good quality oil and filter, and i am a believer in pre oem fuel filter. (fuel quality really blows and my dahl filter/water separator has paid for itself several times)
Good luck with your truck
