Hello Everyone !

We plan on ordering a 2005 Silverado 3500 Crew Cab 4x4 LT Duramax 6600 Turbo Diesel with the Allison 1000 5-Speed Automatic this week. What is your thoughts about the 2005?

The D-Max looks like it will be a Great Workhorse to pull a Doubletree Mobile Suite 36-TK3 (http://www.doubletreervsuites.com/) 5th wheel that we also plan on ordering this week.

Later . . . . . .

Shooter:

You got the right truck for the job. Some guys like the earlier trucks better than the 05's but, to me, their objections are fairly minor. Go for it.

Thankful

Tell me more about the fifth wheel you chose. I've been looking at either the Keystone Montana or Everest. But your choice has me intrigued. At first glance at the Doubletree web site, it appears to be a better fifth wheel than Keystone's. I'm sure you did a lot of research before choosing Doubletree. Any more information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site. Since you ordered the new truck have you visited the section about ordering new trucks? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37 When you get your S.O.N. and your TPW, give Howard an e-mail and he will let you know the status of your truck as soon as there is news to be had. There are alot of great people here and many resources. Again, welcome!

The wife has researched several units in great depth and we think Doubletree has the most bang for the buck. Were placing our orders for the Truck and 5th wheel this week.
