If you arnt doing anything stupid you dont need em. Its like if your not doing anything stupid a stock allison is great! I took it to a shop and paid $186 for the inner and outer tie rod. I know, I know, cheaper to buy the damn sleeves. keepin' it 03-21-2005, 11:05 PM Third time I flew my 2002 and put it down with the wheels not straight on, bent one and damaged the ball joint on the other. This is bull to disguise design flaws. The tie rods and ball joints on the HD are weak. May last 300K miles/might last 20K miles. I don't abuse my equipment, but flying it off the deck at 60 mph. a couple of times shouldn't totally fail the tie rods/ball joints.
