Yesterday on the way home the tach quit in my '95. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?
Also, about a half an hour later the alternator quit charging and I had to limp home on the batteries. I have it out now and will get it rebuilt tomorrow.
Could the two be related?

Yes, they are related. The tach gets its signal from the alternator if I remember right

Yup, fixed. Rebuilt alternator and the tach works now.
