The picture must have been priceless, as I ran outside this morning at about 5am straight out of bed to go hit the "kill switch" on the bus. I didn't see any lights come on at the neighbor's houses thankfully. This is the second time that this has happened. Out of no where, the horn just starts blowing like crazy. It had started to rain, so there must be some contact somewhere in the system just bearly close 'nough to cause this to happen. I believe it's just the switch in the column causing this. I was just out there looking at it, beating the wheel, and now it works fine.

So here's my question:
Anything to watch out for when accessing the column, because there is an air bag involved here.

The contact is behind the steering wheel cover.

Mine has done the same thing to me a few times, i have no air bag. You should be able to just pop the horn cover off as its just friction holding it in place, i had to bend my contact plate out so it wouldn't touch, it seemed to make contact when it got cold and the cover contracted some.

Had this happen once before with another GM product before - ponti-yack something or other - two "meshes" with very little space in between. This application looks a bit different. This is the has the whole air bag "assembley" moves and looks to make the switch what looks like behind the air bag. That's what's got me a bit freaked here, cause I don't want no inflation there mate.:badidea:
