AFAIK, aftermarket is the only option. Some companies make units that can be triggered by the factory remotes, BUT the range of the factory remote is typically too SHORT to be acceptable.

Put in an aftermarket remote and put your factory fob away for the winter. Come summer, use your factory fob again. The addition of a r/s doesn't affect your factory alarm either. You can get a remote starter anywhere from cheap, plain and simple to big dollars elaborate. You pick! They all do the same thing. Biggest thing is get an installer that knows what he's doing.
