whenever i am pulling or hauling a pretty heavy load my check engine light comes on. usually dont come on til i'm climbing a long grade but then it stays on for a day or two. i can pull the load all day but when i've been goin up a long incline it comes on before i get to the top. confuses the crap out of me. help. my truck has magnaflow duals turbo back and a s&b intake.

What do you drive and what are the codes???

06 ext cab short bed lbz. i dont have anything to check the codes though. have to take it some where for that.

go to auto zone or advance auto parts they can read the codes for you ...just rember to write them down then post back here and will help the best we can!!

probably will be p0401 code, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient caused by you turbo back exhaust.

No cat= insufficient EGR flow code because it provides the backpressure to force gasses through EGR.

next time it pops up have it read at auto zone. If its the p0401 I wouln't worry about it. Might what to invest in a blocker plate and finger stick, It will stop those codes form popping.
