Hi Everyone,

Just picked up my new 05. Transfered my 4" magnaflow from my 03 to my 05. I have not had a code yet I have not installed the EGR plate or the sticks. Is this odd?

have you used a code reader of some sort to see if you have codes? what emissions do you have on the truck? did you do the cat back or turbo back on the transfer? there are times the codes are set but no SES light on them. I would get the blocker plate and finger stick as soon as possible. in the meantime, first things in the morning, unplug the egr. this will keep the valve closed and keep the soot out. once your blocker plate and stick arrive, install them and plug the egr back in.

It is a turbo back 4" exhaust. How do you unplug the egr?

unplug the harness that is connected to it. it should be under the air intake hose. you could follow the MAF harness back and see where it is. Otherwise look at finger sticks installation guide and it will show you the plug to unplug.
