I have a used Hypertech Power Programmer III lying on my garage shelf.
Any reason not to install it?
I do plan to follow the installation instruction and will probably set on level 3 but any things I should be concerned about?

It is dangerous, do not do it!
Now mail it to me, that way you are not tempted to get a smile on your face from the added power, and the decrease in your wallet when you want more power.

it was super easy to install and if you are runnig larger tires thenit has a setup to re-adjust your speedo, with 37s,it came in real handy, specially when i got pulled ove rby 5-0 and he told me i was sppeding and that my tires have thrown off my speedo and i says i say...oh no sir here i have a gps that i can prove i was doind 73(in a 65) and i have also a tuner that is set for my exact tire size as of yesterday and i am verifying speed today.. he laughs and says ok.. what else you got?? and i told him to plug his ears and let the horn go..again another laugh, and only got cited for passenger front window being tinted..he now wants a horn too,and when i see him in town he asks.
the hypertech is a good one, very little smoke unless you have a foot in it. go for it

I have the same setup and year of Chevy with the Hypertech. I pull an 8,000 lb sailboat and an 17,500 fifth wheeler. When pulling I put it in Phase I as recommended by Hypertech. This helps to keep the tranny from overtorqueing and loosing it. If driving empty I put it in III but am careful to not put my foot in it hard as you can still over power the tranny as it is the weak link. I put in a Pyrometer and boost guage which I would highly recommend. I have found that pulling heavy in level II or III, it is "very" easy to get into the RED zone and burn up your turbo. Pulling in Level I, I still can get into the RED zone on a long hard hill. Pyro is a must.
