This weekend the old truck through 2 codes.
I read them with EFI Live, they are as follows.
MOD DIC Type Status
PCM P0700 00 ---H1---
TCM P1720 00 ---H1---
I think the first code is a communication error between PCM & TCM but not sure & what would cause a prob like this.
Have no idea what the second code is.
Does anyone have a list of codes that I could get? If so can they be emailed?

This is the second time I have had a shifting problem & gotten codes, they were different form these & tranny locked in 3rd gear.
I guess I should expect this as the tranny has 230k on it.

Wow! 230K on the Allison! That's great. I think you got your money's worth out of that. Check with Mike L. in the Allison OEM sections for a rebuild. You will be satisfied.
I will move this to the Allison OEM section seeing that the codes are dealing with the transmission specifically! ;)
