Nice looking DMax, I like your tires also, what size are they? Did you also get the bug deflector from the dealer?

Thanks for the compliments, we really like it. The bug shield is a Stampede bug shield we purchased from an after-market dealer, and so far............it doesn't rattle like my Lund did on my other Chevy. The wheels are 16x8 American Eagle Wheels, Series 101 and the Tires are Mickey Thompson MTX Baja Radials 265/75/R16. We did have to cut the spoiler & the plastic covering the wheel wells to make them stop rubbing even though they are only 265's.

have you noticed any changes when you accelerate with the larger tires?

Maybe you guys can help with this decision. What would the stock wheels and tires be worth, they only have 500 miles on them.? Or, we are thinking about putting the new stock ones on the other truck and selling the older ones? They are the same rims and the tires have about 50% tread left. The rims are in good shape and are on a 2002 HD. What would the difference in asking price be on the new ones and old be?

No I haven't noticed any difference in acceleration. I do notice how much better it seems to handle the bumps, especially on the back roads to our home. I didn't have it reprogrammed for the 265's yet, if that makes any difference.

Koo, looks great, I may follow suit. Im sure you coul dsell the rims and stuff either here, or online. Peep's always hitting curbs, or selling their rigs and don't want to lose their nice rims in the trade... Enjoy your new addiction:ro) :ro)

I am sure you will like the setup. Here is a picture of what I had to cut on the spoiler, with a Dremel. The place we dealt with was very helpful and sure had fast shipping.

Doug and Lisa -
Depending on how friendly your dealer is, you might want to hang on to the stock wheels and tires...Reason being, if the trans ever gives you trouble, they may require the stock wheels and tires on the truck before looking at it...just a thought....

By the way, sharp looking truck!
When are you two hooking bumper to bumper to see which one is better? ):h

partsguy,
First, I have been trying to find out about the air sensor. I guess you can tell, I have had no luck with anyone helping me.
The manager and service manager said there is no problem with 265's. If we do have problems with anything, they will put a set of 245's on it, for us.
Doug

Thanks for the compliments on the truck!!! I am sure I would pull him all around the block with my MAX!!!!!!

If you price out the rims, caps, and tires, you will find that it approaches $2500 real quick.

Unfortunately, you won't get that.

Thanks Lisa, enjoy your new truck!! I'll look at getting the same tires soon on my 2005 DMax.
