: Anybody Change There Turbo On A Lmm? Duramaximumcrap 11-02-2008, 11:40 PM I TALKED TO A GUY THAT HAS A DUALLY AND SAID HE CHANGES OUT THE STOCK TURBO ON EVERYTHING HE BUYS? HE SAID HIS 2003 DUALLY ALL MOST DOUBLED IT MPGs WHEN HE DID THIS? IM WONDERING IF ANY ONE CHANGED THERE TURBO ON A LMM AND SEEN THERE MPGS GO UP DRASTICLY ALSO? I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT TURBO YOU BOLTED ON AND WHAT RESULTS YOU GOT? I wll be seeing this guy latert his week to get my tires changed and see what kind if turbo and how many lbs it pushes over stock. He did a test with several other diesels for one of the diesel magazines, and he was getting 27mpg driving like a grandma. I have heard some people see 15-20% improvement when switching from VVT to a non VVT turbo. I am putting twins on my truck, and am hoping to see a little improvement. Time will tell. Did you take the DPF off also? I get a constant 18 mpg and up to 20 on highway not towing. Thats with my meth kit also. Im at about 17.5-18 on highway without it.
