No, I didnt rip them off. The bumpstops for the Lower control arm in the front(obviously) was looking kinda shabby and beat up quite a bit. But didnt look like they'd been touching in quite a while. Well I kinda was looking around looking for loose things in my front end and the right one just ripped off. Feel like foam filled hard and crunchy almost. Well then i went to the drivers side, and wouldnt you know it, it came off too. I mean without a fight at all, just a bit of sideways pressure and off it was. I guess these are the uptravel bumpstops. But I dont really think they are needed necessarily. What is everyone elses opinion.

Oh yea, and I was pleasantly surprised that I have about 1.5" between my upper control arm and downtravel metal bumpstop. So I'll probably be cranking up again soon once I figure out my alignment issue.

You need to have the stop in there so the arm doesnt go metal to metal against the frame when you bottom out. I think the stock stops are excessively large. I will be trimming mine in half(or installing a low profile set of urethane stops) in the near future when I build shock hoops.

Just so I dont sound like a hypocrite, the upper arms go metal to metal with no cushion. Im goin to do something about that as well. Id like to cut that stop off, and make a new one lower with a urethane stop to get more travel, but eliminate the metal to metal contact. Limiting straps might be another solution.
