Found a site that evangelized putting H3 HIDS in the Hella Micro DE fog light housings ... anyone here do this yet? Seems to beat the $550 for Hella's version, and I'd like to put these in the factory driving light location.

Thoughts?

Here they are with a Kit in them:

Output of the $5xx Xenon Version. It's a Spot Light or Driving Light. No where close to a Fog Pattern at all, like the above Halogen Version with a Kit in it.

Looks like what I want ... I am trying to illuminate in front and the sides a bit more, cut down on shoulder surprises (critters, kids, etc) and not blind others ... I am thinking tied to DRLs since mine are gone (Reunel bumper).

Did you ever try the Mirco DEs with the plain halogen bulb?
