With the LMM can you shift into 4wd while driving? When I go to work I need 4wd in areas when it snows.

As long as you are not spinning the tires when you engage it you will have no problems.

I wasn't sure. The other day when I shifted into 4wd while moving, I heard a klung when it was engaging and got concerned. I don't think I was spinning a tire.

I've had best results by letting off the throttle, shifting into 4 hi, waiting for it to engage, then going back to driving as normal. Same when shifting back to 2 hi.

Have a cruise through your owners manual, there is some good info in there as well. One thing, make sure you on a surface that allows for tire slip and overall tire dia has a affect on engaugment. even the pressure difference from front to back can have a effect.
