Ok heres the deal, i stopped to get some fuel tonight and while i was waiting for them to turn the pumps on i noticed smoke coming up from between the bed and the cab, i didnt have a clue what it was so i shut the truck off and ran over to the other side and pulled out the fire exstinguisher from behind the seat, and by the time i got it out and looked under the truck it had quit. im completly lost on this, only thing iv been able to think of is maybe something is leaking on to my exhaust, anybody got any ideas??? Now my second problem, after i got home i checked the truck over real good tryin to figure out what had happened and i was lookin under the hood and noticed the turbo had quite a bit of oil on it and on the line leading off of the little canister next to the turbo(not sure what its called) ill try and take some pics tommorow so this might make a little more sense. I just hope the turbo is not blown:(

The only cannister I can imagine you are talking about is the wastegate actuator. Oil dripping from the turbo air inlet and the rubber boot going from the turbo to the upper intake is pretty normal. Apparently your turbo is still making boost, or you'd have a black smoke and very low power. Are you using any more oil that you can tell?

thats the one im talkin about, couldnt think of what it was called. from what i can tell its not using no more oil than usual, i was kinda gettin scared after people tellin me all these horror stories about turbos. thanks for the info, that eases my mind a lot. and yea its making plenty of boost, thats why i was gettin worried, was afraid i mighta cranked the turbo master down to far

Doesn't sound like anything serious. The smoke was probably just something dripping on the exhaust especially if you didn't notice any funny odors.
