I recently changed the front axle fluid in my 2004.5 (factory synthetic fluid). Before draining, I opened the fill plug and a bit of fluid dripped from the plug. Therefore, I assumed (most likely incorrectly  ) that it should be filled to the same level, as I did. I estimate I placed a little under two quarts into the axle. After driving the truck a bit, I noticed some front end fluid dripping off of the axle from the vent cap. Upon checking the fill volume for the front axle (yes, after the fact:iamwithst ) the capacit quoted was 1.88 qts. I had previously changed my rear axle and it called for the fluid to be approximately 3/4-inch below the fill plug, which I did comply with upon filling. The question now is should I try to drain a bit from the front axle or has it blown out all the excess? Will the slight over-filling cause any Censored internal damage ?
Thanks.
Thanks.
