Does anyone know how to Remove the orange from the dash gauge needles

I have painted the centers silver and thought that I saw a WHILE back where someone took the orange off the actual needles

I think it would look WWAAYY better if they were clear. Im not real concerned if I can see them or not.

I have searched to no avail.

Its orange all the way through. your only option is paint it or replace it.

if you painted them, would they still illuminate or what?

Not sure what color to paint them either. I want to do the blue LED dash light because my cd player has blue back lighting.

If you paint them they will not illuminate anymore.

Are you postive they are orange all the way through? I vaguely remember a write up on gmfullsize about soaking them in fingernail polish remover or something along those lines

Thats what I thought, I had them out painting the center and scrapped a real small part off.

Im gonna go jack with them and see what I get???

I think they are only orange on the back side... top and both sides are clear

I just searched GMFS.com and I think 99-02 were orange on the back of the needle, 03+ is orange all the way thru.

they are orange all the way through and painting the needles looks like crap.

You could use VHT Nightshades on them, they will be black, yet still illuminate.

Same product people use on tailight lenses etc to tint them.

Dont paint them... they will look like SHI@! Just purchase the color you want from usspedo.com and they will light correctly and look good!

I saw USSPEEDO's on Fleabay but really didn't want to dish out $50 plus shipping.

And your right, they look like $hit painted.

They look pretty nice with just the white face gauges, and silver centers with orange needles though, for about $30.00
