i cant imagine it would hold much better than a stocker. try and find an older ATS triple disk maybe i came across one for 500.00 with out to many miles..

I am running one in my truck for testing. I can tell by the feel that it will do fine for towing, playing around with a mild tune of about 120 or so hp. It will not hold a big tune for long with a heavy foot.

I am running no knock down pressure in my Alli and the converter feels great when it locks. It has a billet cover so it is utilizing all of the clutch surface when applied unlike the stock converter which only is able to use 50%.

Why would the stock converter only use 50% of the clutch area?

Bad design.

Who designed it? Allison, Chevy, or Isuzu?

Bad design.
I must clarify that because it's not fair.
It is not a good design for the amount of power we are adding.

Mike,
Wasn't the old 1050 converter a single disc? If so, how does this new one compare or is the new one an updated 1050?
Thanks,
Rob

The old 1050 was a triple disc.
