Are there any option's to replace the OEM fuel filter and housing with an after market system. Mine will not prime for the last 3 times I have changed the filter with the pump. Stealer want's like 400.00 for just the housing. I prime it by pushing air in the tank. Never looses prime after that so I do not think it is a leak.

Racor makes a universal pump prime filter assembly that is physically very close in size to the OEM one. One advantage is that you can get a variety of replacement media filters. I purchased one and am using it as a secondary filter with a 2 micron element. I use the OEM as the primary filter. That being said, I have never experienced any problem with the primer pump on either unit. You might check your seal placement on the OEM one as I have read some threads about problems if you aren't familiar with all the seals. Also, the plastic vent plug on the OEM can cause some problems as well as the WIF screw-in sensor. The Racor complete assembly was less than $200.
