I've spoke to several people getting ideas, though I thought others might have this question as well... If a person wants speed and is unconcerned with drivability, what twin turbo setup would be the preferred choice?? I'm just curious and trying to get as much info as possible.. This is also considering your headgasket problems have been properly taken care of, and everything else is just a card swipe away.. =) .......

The whole idea with twins is that you will have decent driveability whether you like it or not. Heheh. If you want a lag pig that makes killer horsepower then build a big single (it would be much cheaper). I think the "big brother" turbo or HX-60 is about as big as you can go on the bottom turbo of a twin setup and still be a real person. Top turbo could be your choice of popular singles. HX-40, B1, HTB2...ect. With a setup like this, you could flow enough air to break the 800 number on #2.

piers diesel (http://www.piersdiesel.com) probably is the place to get in contact with for something like this.... i am drooling at their twins setup, but i also am drooling over that banks VGT setup... and i found a garrett VGT charger off a 60series DDC on ebay that would be nice if it could be controlled... ;) whatever i choose to get eventually, it will be expensive :o

Juice,
I'm revised the price - made a mistake - my apologies to all. I need to get back some more coin....and someone will save close to $2K. This is an incredible setup for a 2nd generation 24 valve.

The truck provided lots of shi*s and giggles to put it mildly. This setup has been used for a daily driver and always put a big grin on my face when I get behind the wheel.

The one thing to remember is that if you decide to order the Piers twin kit, its at least 2 months to get them from the time of order. More like 2.5-3 months. They have around 100 people on the waiting list. And the supply of HT3-B's is low, meaning they are not in production at this time. All turbo dealers have back orders on the HT3-B's. The only HT3's left are the ones that dealers have in inventory. I know of one supplier that is 600+ units on back order. It supprises me because the HT3 is a very common turbo. Look at any big cam 350 or 400 Cummins which is a 14 liter and they use the same turbo.

If a person were to run a large single, how's the H2E?? Can these make decent power??

If spooled with Nitrous.... you bet.

At elevation it would be somewhat of a lag pig though.

I had read somewhere else that these turbos were good for huge horsepower.. I found this one used.. He said running this turbo (only makes 45 pounds of boost without a wastegate) and 200 injectors his truck only ran a 13.4 at 104.. Said his horsepower was around 500.. I don't even know exactly what 200 injectors are, though I would think a larger turbo like this would make more boost and produce better mph with enough fuel.. From what I had read elsewhere, I thought this turbo would be good for 60 pounds..
He said he was going to a HTT sledpuller 66.. Is this a good turbo?? I have a 2 stage nitrous system.. I need to get a setup before the Bowling Green, KY race.. I'm kinda anxious to find out more and more information..

I like the B1 large housing, and the B1 steroid for all out HP.The B1 steroid will make over 600 on diesel only,it is available with a wastegated housing, and it is VERY durable. The quick spool B1 drives nicer with less lag,but the pyro skyrockets as does drive pressures over 500RWHP. My buddies truck is over 500hp on diesel only large housing B1,its the original B1 from kwikkurt its about 3 yrs old.he made one pass with it,launched at low boost(no billet output shaft),and ran 12.9 at 104. I watched a friend of mine dyno a 2002 24V with the b1 steroid and do 576RWHP with a set of Don M mach 6s.This truck had 4.10 gears, which typically rob around 25hp on the dyno, all things being equal.

Does anyone have any info on the HTT sledpuller 66 turbo?? I have read where this turbo makes great power, and is streetable.. Is there a single that's larger than this one?? I'm buying on advice... I like the price of a large single much more than the twins... I have nitrous already... Hmmmm...
