Not sure what it is, but the small plastic 'button' on the back side of the IP on my truck is wet looking now. Not dripping, but I can rub my finger on it and it's slightly wet and smells like diesel(duh). I'm sure someone here knows what it is and/or what it's for AND why it might be leaking.
Diesel Pro? where art thou? oh Lord of the injection pump. :D
Thanks

pop the "plastic button' off and tighten the nut.
That little cap is there to prevent people from adj the inj pump. The cap is mounted on the guide stud, this adjusts the gov cut off. You can't replace the oring under there unless you remove the top cover. The guide stud aligns the min max gov on the inside of the pump.

I didnt think there was a governor on these trucks. You aren't talking about the fuel adjustment screw are you? If there is a governor, I want to know about it.:D

If the O'ring needs replacement the nut can be backed way off and another O'ring stretched over the nut. That tip will cost you.

Pop it off and tightened the nut - was a little loose. Turned it about half a turn before it snugged up. Sprayed it down with some simple green, hosed it off- I'll see what happens tomorrow.
Thanks guys
