My nsbu switch (transmission gear selector switch) went out today in 2002 Duramax/Allison 2500, just as decribed in the posts I have read. I now have 3rd and reverse (y no mas). The dealer has the part, I'm headed there in the AM, and their warranty "expert" says it is not covered.

HELP...I need ammunition...I have the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet that clearly states the transmission gear selector switch (Diesel) is covered. But I need to know if anyone has anything else they used to prove to the dealer that it is covered.

I spent the last hour on the phone with customer service...no help.

How did you do it?

You have the ammo in the Warranty & Owner info book "trans gear selector covered Diesel" Can't get any more plain English than that. They published the Warranty book not you.
Have seen some post that it's covered under the emission warranty too, but not sure about that one.

If you can't get them to warranty it then say good-bye to them and thx for nothing and go down to your local Allison dealer and buy it there for a lot cheaper for the exact same part.

Check Allison website for a local dealer.
