Just as stated above, the truck doesn't do anything when you hit the accelerator. It'll sit there, idling, then launch hard. Come to think of it, our previous tranny problem started out like this. Is there a sensor or something that would cause this? Truck has 33,000 miles, so its going back to the dealer to get fixed. I just wanna make sure it gets fixed right. Any suggestions?

If when you apply the throttle it doesn't go off idle I wouldn't think it was a tranny problem. Does the Service Engine Soon light come on? It could be a throttle position sensor problem.

I had a situation where the pedal would just go dead. Figured out that by shutting off for about a minute and restarting would make it work again. I did this until in got it to the dealer. They replaced the throttle position sensor and problem is now solved.
