Has anyone done this? I am planning on getting my injectors honed out 60% very soon.... I would like them flow tested as well to make sure they are all in good shape... Any info on who to send them to is really what i need.... and a ballpark $$$

And also who has modded the CP3 pump ive heard that the LBZ flows better than previous versions. But I think at 600+ rwhp on this truck is gonna need a lil bit more than the stoker... fully modded CP3, just modded regulator, or the Bag O Parts from Industrail Injection??? want a CP3 that keep the rail full at WOT

Already have a lift pump and shim kit in the truck

Dual CP3 is out of the picture!!!
Pulling class is a single CP3 class only....

And yes I am fully aware of the LBZ piston cracking issue.... But still you gotta pay to play!!!

Get With Brayden From Fleece Performance.com About The Setup You Want.

Yeah I've been talking to Brayden about a Cheetah turbo and doing the 60% over injectors all with his EFI tuning. Plan on doin the Turbobrake at the same time

But I have never asked him about anything to do with the stock LBZ pump. On what mods if any to do to it. Im hoping to get in the 600 range and to keep it all together with no internal work. CROSSIN MY FINGERS!!!

I was just wondering if anyone out there had done any mods with injectors and CP3 pumps and what kind of results and how its holding together and just a general pricing for some of this mods.

He can mod your CP3 for more flow. Can't beat Braydens tuning...

So Brayden can mod my stock LBZ CP3??? You dont know exactly what he does to the pump do ya?? And do you have one on your truck??

What % over injectors would you do, Brayden mentioned 45% at first and then said 60% over, I just figured 60% so once they are done I wont have to go back and bore them out anymore. Either way he will be tuning the truck, I figure if its his parts that under the hood he gonna get the best power out of them.

Yeah he can mod it. I really don't know how he does it. I just installed the modded CP3.

If you come down for the turbo and injectors and turbobrake I'll mod your pump...

I wouldnt expect to hold 27k psi though with 60% injectors without dual pumps though. I do understand that you cant use them though...

Kind of what I was thinking. 60% is a lot! The modded CP3 pumps are just improvements to the fuel getting in and out of the pump, not changing the bore or stroke of the pump. The only way I would do a modded CP3 is for the reason that you stated which is you can not run two in your pulling class.

I don't know what they do to their pumps..

You can support 100% over stock injectors if you tune them correctly... 60% nozzles on JNeals truck made 630hp on the stock CP3.... Vid's are on youtube.com

arent you changing the time the injector is open to get the same amount of fuel out? the injector can flow more, but your not going to tune more fuel into it? the stock injectors can out flow the pump

Yes.. if you get injectors you shorten the pulse width up..

They make better use of the available fuel.

630hp was 2100uS of duration.

630hp was 2100uS of duration.

sorry, i am stupid....that number means nothing to me...if you dont mind, whats was the duration for the stockers? just so i can get an idea.

is this the same mod as what industrial injection does to there cp3?
If Braydens mod works then it is not the same as II pump. Their stage 2 mod pumps are worthless.

Durpee
I think you would be much happier with an injector between 25% to 45%. Over 50% they start getting real interesting to tune. My 80% sticks are a trip to say the least.

Most race tunes with stock injectors are over 3100.

moss, IIRC a stock LB7 tune is 1400 uS

I'm kinda torn between the 45 to 60% over injectors....

But I talked to Wicked Diesels while he was putting my lift pump on and they told me that I could get a fully modded pump for like $1800 but it was a modded lly pump and that I had to give them my LBZ pump...

Now correct me if i'm wrong but dont the LBZ pumps flow more than all the rest in stock form... And IdahoRob still has a single with his twins and JNeal had a stocker when it had the 2.6 turbo on

So do i really need to mod it or not???

You are referring to a 25% increased displacement CP3, roughly the same as making a 350 chevy engine into a 427. We use the LLY LB7 style pumps because they have a better tappet, cascade valve and a larger front internal bearing surface diameter. Once modded, regardless of the style LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM they all flow the same amount of fuel. External flow porting modifications, will get you some gain, not what bumping the displacement will do though.
