Clyde did my MBRP 4" cat back (no cat, no muffler) yesterday. I did kroutman's egr blocker plate and finger's stick also (california emissions truck). Thanks Clyde!

Drove it around town last night and to work this morning. Here's what I saw:
>Engine temp - Took slightly longer to get up to operating temp but nothing really noticeable. Engine temps seem to be slightly lower. Blocking the egr didn't seem to make a big difference. Air temp was 50 degrees.
>EGT - I don't have an egt guage, will have to wait until I get the juice/attitude, so I can't say anything about egt reduction but I'm assuming its there
>Sound - not really that much louder in the cab with the windows up - definitely louder if you are standing in the back by passenger side and also if the passenger window is down and you pass a wall. Does sound like a hair dryer at idle. The whistle is louder outside, only slightly louder inside.
>Drone - had it between 1700 - 1800. Seems to be gone. If anything, there is a slight drone at just above 1500.
>Turbo spool - seems to spool up quicker and is more responsive.
>Smoke - got on it hard a couple of times to see if there was any more smoke and didn't see any difference. Exhaust did smell a little more 'diesel', not as sweet smelling as it was stock without the egr blocker plate.
>Mileage - Looks like mileage is a few mpg's better than before. Will need to monitor.
>SES - No ses light as expected with finger's stick. Don't have a reader so I can't check for codes but I doubt there are any.

With the EGR blocked I noticed about a 10 degree drop in indicated coolant temp at 60 to 70 mph. I guess that is due to the fact that the coolant is not exposed to the 500 to 1000 degree exhaust temps anymore.

Exhaust system is comming soon.
