I installed the predator on my truck earlier. (2004.5 lly) I installed it on the 40hp setting. I know from reading the threads here that it is going to take a little while for the allison to adjust. I drove the truck about 12 or 13 miles afterwards(normal driving) and the transmission seemed to be better towards the end. I never got on it hard but my foot was itching so bad to just mash the pedal to the floor. What is a safe time frame to be able to go all out? Also I have 265/75/16s on my truck but I did not change the tire size during the install. Should I do this as well?
Thanks for your input.

I usually wait until I start the truck before I lay into it.

I rodded the hell out of it right after putting the 65 in, it started shifting better pretty quick, by 50 miles or so was pretty much normal. If you baby it I think it takes longer to learn, from what some guys have said...

I loaded the 100 hp tune right off the bat. The allison figured it out in about 50 miles. I didn't flog it right away, and it did fine. Come to think of it, the 100 hp tune is the only one I have loaded so far. Have fun.

If I want to change to the 65hp setting, do I need to remove the radio fuses as stated in the directions for the first tune. Also do I need to change my tire size?

dont need to change your tire size.

Doing a bunch of WOT passes and varried throttle passes and downshifts ect will help get it trained faster but there is no harm IMO by letting it train itself natruraly by just driving it. It will take longe. It depends if you want to feel wierd shifts right away or if you pull up next to a powerstroke or something and decided you want to play.

I dont have any expereince with what you have, when in doubt follow the instructions I guess.

Yes when changing the tune you should always remove the fuses. Some people have had no problems when not removing the fuses but you never know. IMO it's not worth the risk of crashing the computer during download. These computers can be a little tempermental.

Also when you have an LLY you do need to adjust tire size every time you download a new program I beleive. At least I think I read that on another post recently.
