hey fellas is it possible to throw codes and not set off the cel? and does anyone know if a diablosport predator can read the balance rates of the injectors? .i'm having some issues with some blue smoke at a idle ,read all about the icepick method and the rubbing of the harness, gonna check those myself, but since my truck still has warranty i took it to the stealer, of course they supposedly checked this and that and could find nothing out of the ordinary.they told me unless the cel is on it is almost impossible to find the problem...ps.... of course when my truck was their they couldnt get it to smoke:mad: told me when i'm out and about and it starts smoking to bring it right down for them to see it themselves, wanna get to the bottom of this before the warranty is up in feb of 09 thanx :beerchug:

There are many codes your truck will throw without the CEL coming on.
dealer is not being strait with you or doesnt know what they are doing.

i have a predator as well and yes you check the injector balance rates with it. i believe that you do to the engine 1 infor in the options or diagnostics menu. as well you can check any codes with it and clear them too. make a note of the code numbers and you can check them here in one of the stickys too, then go and ask the stealer what they are .......just for fun of course!!

Sometimes when you install a programmer you truck will throw codes. The only time you need to worry about engine codes is when the CEL comes on, that means their is a potential problem.

Sometimes the truck will store the codes in the ECM, and not set off the CEL. The dealer should be able to find the hidden codes with the Tech 2!
Moved to 2nd Gen ELECTRONICS! ;)
