My first Post!
I have several questions. I have an 03 2500HD with Allison tranny. I picked up a filter at the dealer and Mobile ATF Synthetic tranny fluid that is Dextron-III compatible to change the tranny oil.
First, I see where the drain bolt is in the pan and the twist on filter, but where do I fill the oil back up at? I can't find anything under the hood or around the tranny pan and I didn't get an owners manual (bought used).
There appears to be a front and rear differential case. Do both of these need to be changed as well and do they use the same oil I already bought? I am told the rear is about 4 quarts. How much in the front transfer case or does it share oil from the Alison tranny pan?
