took mine a couple miles, did you have the taps reset? The 5 spd I did the other day, after about 75 miles in fast learn it was shifting good.

I will go back and have them reset the taps, not sure. Does all taps need to be reset or just certain ones?

When it is put in fast learn, all Taps are reset, including garage shifts.

I hope you all don't mind a stupid questions. But what are taps and garage shifts? And how do you "put it in fast learn?"

The Trans is always adapting shift points to achieve the best shift it can in other words it is constantly adjusting pressure, and times to achieve smooth shifts. Garage shifts are just Park to Drive, Reverse to Drive Etc..

so far had 3-4 and 4-5 taps reset and 3-4 are smooth now, but 4-5 still kicks? When I manual shift, 1-6 is fine. If there was something wrong would the manual shifts be off to? If not then it's still relearning. BTW I have my PPE set at 90hp which minus 25% to the rear wheels. This little power wouldn't have any ill effect on the learning of the trans? Thank you all for your help.

Mine would shudder the truck on the 4-5 shift and the 5-4 shift for about 2 days. It settled down though and shifted smoothly after that. I took it out and purposely drove making it shift from 4-5 and 5-4 over and over and it got smoother every time.

I'm not telling you to abuse your new tranny, but the harder I drive mine the better it shifts.

I did this 4-5 and 5-4 shifting from manual back to drive all the way to work and everywhere i drove today. It seems to get better then does it again? kind of like lunging into 5th from 6th? I reset the taps monday, so it will hopefully work itself out.

Ya i put in the same kit in my truck and it does that too. Its weird cuz not every shift is harsh only sometimes so i know exactly what u mean. i never did reset the taps on mine when i did it. Now i have a message that comes up as range shift inhibited on the cluster and my garage shift is awful. anyone come across that one before?

Ok so i've been running my truck back to factory with NO power up's! this suck!!!! But to get the tranny to relearn it worked. I reset all the taps and gave the tranny all the factory HP it could handle and finally straightened out. Thx Mike L ! Now I need EFI Live.
