I just traded in my 03 for an 05. I have a 4" magnaflow exhaust on my 03. Will it fit on the new 05 LLY?

Thanks

Dmax2003,
Briano is correcto. That system will fit the '05o no problemo. Hopefully your's is not a CA or NorthEast emissions unit. Otherwise the SES light will come on, and the truck will go into the limp mode due to low exhaust backpressure. Codes thrown typically P0401 and sometimes P0299 & P0402. Federal emissions units don't seem to have the problem. The application of a performance chip may solve this problem, so far it has on mine. Enjoy the '05! Really enjoying mine! Best regards. . .

Riverchuky,

Thanks for the reply. My dealer is letting take my 03 home for the weekend along with my 05 so I can swap my goodies from one to the other. If it is an Alberta, CANADA truck do you think I will even get a code. I will be getting a EGR plate, but I am curious. I don't think the emission units found in CA or NorthEast apply here, do you know because I don't.

Thanks in advance!

99% of the LLY's when the entire exhaust is swapped out WILL get EGR codes. If you leave either the cat or muffler installed for a little back pressure you won't get the codes. The finger sticks will cure the codes and you already said you were getting the block off plate.

I get the same codes on my 05...

P0299
P0401
P0404

I have a cat back 4" exhaust with a 5 1/2 inch tip..running the edge attitude monitor. I went to Auto zone and found out about those codes after checking it with the computer. The engine light is off now but will probably come back on? I am new to this site and to these finger sticks?
