Ive got 12k on my nicktane. I installed it with a fresh OEM. Im getting ready to change the CAT, should I do the OEM at the same time?

This first time ill cut it open to see how far I can go next time.

Also, does the nicktane act as a water seperator as well?

I drained the water (none found) from the OEM setup, as rust seems to be the only bad thing about that filter.

You should change it per GM's recommendation for warranty purposes. that being said i've ran 25k and not used half of the OEM filter.. The cat doesn't have a water seperator with a drain, but it does seem to catch most of the water/rust..

Thanks for the reply.......

What are GM's reccomendations RE the filter? Ive changed it at ~7500 miles, but I dont think Ive kept too many receipts. I wonder if they would want those for warranty work.........
