I recently purchased a used 01 Dmax/Ally. I got the bug from everybody here on the site to add a few improvements. So I went and bought an Intake, Exaust system, and an Edge W/ attitude. Lovin it so far !! Wow... big power jump. My truck has always seemed to start a little slow whether warm or cold but this morning when I went out to start it.. it just cranked and cranked. I cycled the glow plugs about three times and still nothing... Finally I popped the hood and pumped the manual fuel pump a few strokes and tried again and it finally fired off after much more cranking. The filter is fresh and I run FPPF Fuel Power in my fuel. Oh yeah it was only about 28 degrees outside. Any Ideas??:help:

You still have air in the system from the filter change..................

I dont think so... But it might be possible.I changed the filter about three tanks ago.?? Could it still have air trapped?

What is the EDGE version number..........there was a No-START issue a while back.......

CAN/BUS boxes will delay the start if the truck by an extra second or two as well..........

If there is air in the system after changing filters it will not go through the system. It must be bled out. I found out the hard way that it takes a certain amount of pump strokes to fill the filter with fuel. My OEM takes 60-65 and the Racor 660 takes a minimum of 80. There are also two check valves in the OEM filter. If either sticks open for any reason you are going to partially loose the prime. Later! Frank

Is there a chance that air could be coming in through the bleed screw, think there is a chance of there being a aftermarket screw someone has on this site.

Remove the Juice and try starting it.
