Not many Chevys in Australia, they were brought in during the 40s 50s from Canada and also the mid 70s gave us c10 c20 c30 and c60 it was only short lived thought two maybe three years. I imported a k2500 sb ec 6.5 in 1998 it now has 500000 km on it done a few mods , mainly to make it last well. 4 inch exhaust pmd out on the bull bar and of course the steering wheel on the other side. Back when I bought it it was hard to find , hard to import but easy to convert. I have just done it again and now it is easy to find easier to import but near bloody impossible to convert due to our government meddling in the compliance laws.New truck is stock. It seems to go well although it has big boots to fill after the last one. I am a farmer so they have to work from sun up to sun down wth a bit of play sometimes. The old one I have retired but kept after spending that much time in a vehicle it sort of becomes like a friend. Also have a 47GMC 3/4 ton with a 216 in it as that is what it came with from Canada new, numbers matching original family heirloom. Have drilled the crank to pressure lube in order to bring it in to the new millenium and make it slightly more durable, work in progress. Also have my grandads 40 mapleleaf 2 1/2 ton unrestored unuseable but original. Thats the roundup I havent put photos up because they look no bifferent to stock and quite boring compared to some of the beautiful trucks pictured.
