Finally got Flashed !! Much improvement . Quieter! smoother , no low speed surge. Spoke to the SM and the famous Oheat problem is real , mountain areas and heavier trailer worse ,GM engineers are working the problem , document your complaint /write down symptons , IE: I was on I 15 Baker grade towing 7thou and it got hot on a 60 degree day at 45 MPH , that type of thing , get work orders with :Check oheat on Hills, if you have a history you can get a fix when it happens ,Tjis is from Chevrolet Customer Assist I don't know about everyone else but I find a truck that will pull a 5 or 6 % grade with a 10 K trailer at 55 + but overheats disturbing .

does not seem to matter , I have tried it with it off , I set it a tow most of the time , first few times it got hot was before I even had the edge, I pull a 48 ft 2 car enclosed trailer 17,000 empty usually with 2 cars but all the different temps and loads do is make it slower to get to the HOT Coolant warning and once its there if I'm not cresting the hill I better slow way down, its shut down a couple time trying to make the shoulder so now I just put the flashers on and go 25 or 30 Sheeeeez!!

welcome to my world carhauler I live in a valley and can't leave the city going north without overheating in the summer I'm at 20,000 gross combined weight so not over my limits per chevy's manual. It is disapointing to say the least with a 40,000 dollar truck.

Virgin , LLY or LB7 ? mountian grades ? what kind of weight? I believe this is not every truck or? maybe there are a lot of people who don't go so fast , I have seen alot of trucks crawling up hills and if you go slow they stay cooler , but why go so slow when you can go fast , my semi trucks can pull 80,000 up any hill in any weather as fast as they can pull it and they don't get hot, but the cooling system is designed around the work the truck can do. not what will fit in the area available?
